Locally based to Creativeworld and uniquely the only UK weaver of velvets, British Velvets was founded in East Lancashire in 1932 and is currently based in Burnley, where the weaving process takes place for supplying the soft furnishings, upholstery and contract markets. With over 80 years’ experience of velvet manufacturing, the company prides itself on upholding the premium quality production standards established at inception, whilst focusing on environmentally friendly manufacturing and continually striving to improve this.

The brief
As a longstanding Creativeworld client, British Velvets is assured we understand their business and naturally commissioned us to develop their new corporate website design. The aim was to bring their business website up to date with the current digital landscape, ensuring suitability for all devices and enhanced user experience. They needed to portray a fresh, professional image and showcase the organisation’s rich history, heritage and extensive product ranges with a more visual focus.

Our solution
We developed a bespoke business website design which maintained British Velvets’ traditional, recognisable branding and reflected their impressive history, experience and business rarity.

Firstly, we ensured to utilise the red and blue colours of the UK flag in their logo throughout the company website to create an elegant and professional aesthetic, which represented the epitome of the company’s British heritage.

Visuals were a key requirement, so we facilitated photography shoots to capture British Velvets’ manufacturing site, people, fabric product ranges and colours to bring the company to life for website visitors and illustrate British Velvets’ capabilities to their target markets.

With a staggering 750 options across the company’s full product range, we placed a key focus on developing a detailed product feature to showcase this, including a colour reference chart for each type of velvet to enhance online customer experience.

We provide all clients with guidance following completion of their site, enabling them to manage and update content on their new site easily and independently.

A leading dental group consisting of 6 practices based throughout the UK; Darwenside Dental, John Holmes Dental, Coleshill Dental Centre, The Dental Team Manchester, Havelock Dental Practice and Cantley Dental Centre, all provide NHS and private treatment covering general and cosmetic dentistry services. They share a key aim across the group of ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of comfort and care, whilst maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement in the standard of their services.

The brief

Following Creativeworld’s successful full service marketing work for Darwenside Dental; developing a complete re-brand involving stakeholder engagement, creation of a new website, as well as aligned digital and offline marketing collateral, targeted marketing campaigns and social media management, the Darwen practice later became part of a larger dental group. This leading dentistry group subsequently approached and commissioned us to utilise our extensive healthcare and dental marketing expertise. The group required our help to bring all of their practices in line with Darwenside Dental from a branding perspective, as well as support them in achieving consistent marketing and external brand perceptions across the full group.

Our solution

The key aim of the Darwenside Dental re-brand was to move away from a purely clinical look and feel, to instead portray the practice as a provider of private and cosmetic dentistry services on an equal level as to their standard NHS dental offering. Creativeworld carried out thorough stakeholder engagement and created a vibrant, clean and professional new brand style which achieved this requirement, hence the other practices in the group were to be modelled upon Darwenside. We created complimentary brand colours for each practice to achieve differentiation, whilst utilising the same design and styling, clearly illustrating their connection as a group.

A leading element of this project was developing new websites for each practice; all created with consistent branding, design and sitemaps to set in stone the relation between practices from an external point of view. The website is a main hub for the practices’ current and future customers, presenting the best opportunity to showcase the brand as both an NHS and private dentistry service. Creativeworld additionally content managed all six websites for the group on a continuous basis, saving the practices’ time and resource internally, enabling them to maintain and update their website content without any hassle.

Alongside the websites, we set-up relevant social media channels for all six practices to increase brand awareness and manage these for the full group on an ongoing basis; creating and scheduling posts, including templates and content suitable for sharing across all 6 practices, therefore, helping to cement the group connection and alignment of services.

Other digital elements we have implemented and managed, include a bespoke online feature called the ‘Smile Assessment’ tool which is used on all practice websites, allowing patients to upload a photo of their current smile and submit to the team of experts at their nearest practice, who then review and respond with advice and recommendations of their available services to address the patient’s individual concerns. Creativeworld have also developed and manage a PPC (pay per click) campaign in line with one particular practice’s requirements to heavily promote sedation dentistry.

Ribblesdale High School appointed Creativeworld to redevelop their online presence, to include their Main School website, Parents website and Transition website for Year 7 students.

As part of the designs for the website we considered pathways for each of their key stakeholders and how each area would differ slightly in colour whilst remaining consistent with the Ribblesdale Brand. Our brief was to evolve the existing website design, in doing so we also wanted to create space for more expansive imagery utilising the full width of the screen. Our web designers introduced a fixed banner to house the School logo, designed to complement the brand and signature Ribblesdale curve depicting the hill upon which Clitheroe castle sits.

In addition we created an Ribblesdale ‘EdTech’ website to host virtual learning events for other schools. The Department of Education and delivery partners identified twenty schools and colleges which have demonstrated excellence in their use of technology to support teaching and learning and have the capacity to help others. Ribblesdale were identified as one of these demonstrators as part of a consortium of schools able to offer support and learning for other schools across the country.

Claremont interiors approached Creativeworld to refresh the branding and website of The Breeze which is a service that offers office spaces, meeting rooms and virtual offices in Manchester and Warrington.

Our talented in-house studios worked with the inspiration that the branding and website should feel as seamless and user-friendly as the concept itself, hence the name; ‘The Breeze’. MK:169 is a high specification modern cross-docked distribution facility measuring 169,376 sq ft located in Milton Keynes.

About the property:
Northfield Drive is situated on the eastern fringe of Milton Keynes, less than 1 mile from Junction 14 of the M1 Motorway. The property is located at a roundabout junction on the A509 which runs east to west into Milton Keynes town centre and provides direct access to Junction 1. Occupiers in the immediate vicinity include TNT, DHL, Coca Cola and Sainsbury’s. The property also offers potential occupiers a modern headquarters style office accommodation up to 15,816 sq ft with 163 car parking spaces.

The Appointment:
Given our vast experience within the logistics marketing sector, Creativeworld was exclusively appointed by joint letting agents CBRE and DTRE to deliver the marketing collateral for the letting of MK:169. As part of the marketing collateral, our in-house team designed and produced a trifold letting brochure which was complemented by a responsive website, signage and HTML campaign.

Long term client TDK approached Creativeworld to redevelop the website for their successful lighting company ‘Easylighting’. The new Easylighting eCommerce website was built with a fully responsive framework to ensure we created a seamless browsing experience for users shopping on different mobile devices.

The design was also refreshed to be more ‘lifestyle’ focused, creating a source of interior inspiration for shoppers using the site with a rotating image carousel. These updates included a change of company logos and web colour palette to be more in-keeping with current trends. We worked closely with TDK to ensure the website meets the needs of their customers, this included the most up to date payment systems to enable seamless transactions. Amazon Pay, PayPal and Braintree were among these systems implemented to create a secure and hassle free shopping experience for their users.

On the new website we included a new, more expansive menu system which allows the user to easily navigate to products immediately as they land on the website. A new Wishlist feature was added to allow users to save products for later within their account. Many improvements were also made to the bespoke content management system to enable the staff at TDK to continue to provide an excellent service for the Easylighting customers.

As Google are very strict with their website search algorithms, it is no secret having a mobile friendly website is favoured over one that isn’t, as a trustworthy, relevant source of content – the newly renovated Easylighting site has been futureproofed to ensure they remain a top UK seller of quality lighting and complementary accessories.
